Introduction

This Privacy Policy notice describes the personal information that Zero 1 Exhibitions Ltd. (trading as 01EX) collects from you, how this information is used and stored as well as the very limited circumstances under which it will be disclosed to 3rd parties. It applies to information that we collect from you online, e.g. through our website, e-mails and/or social media, and offline when you interact with us, whether as a customer, supplier, or member of the public.

For the purposes of this policy notice, personal information means any information that may be used to identify an individual.

In compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (Act) and EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR), the data controller is Zero 1 Exhibitions Ltd.

Zero 1 Exhibitions Ltd. (trading as 01EX) operates a business-to-business model and, in most but not all cases, the data we collect aims to facilitate our interaction with you or the business that you represent.

Information between Zero 1 Exhibitions Ltd. and you is exchanged when you ask about us or our services or contact us for some other business reason. We use our main website www.01ex.com to showcase our services to current and potential clients and to encourage visitors to contact us. We also have registered rights to use www.01ex.co.uk and www.zero1exhibitions.co.uk; both domains will redirect your browser to our main website. This Privacy Policy Notice applies irrespective of the internet address (URL) you used to reach us.

We collect this information to find out, for example, the number of visitors to the various parts of the site and/or make sure that our webpages work correctly with your browser. Storage & Security of Personal Data

We take steps to protect your personal information against unauthorised or unlawful processing, unauthorised or accidental access to your data, and its accidental or unlawful loss or destruction. However, we cannot guarantee against any loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, destruction or any unlawful forms of processing.

The data that we collect from you is stored in the United Kingdom and is processed by our staff. All personal information you provide is stored on our secure servers and is accessible only by authorised personnel. We actively monitor and maintain our IT infrastructure to accommodate technology advances and recommendations from our consultants in this field. Any hard copy of documents that may contain personal information are kept under lock and key.

Under certain circumstances, we may need to send your contact information to agents and/or suppliers to enable the prompt delivery of the services that you requested from us. Retention & Deletion

We retain your information while the business that you represent remains an active customer or supplier or we have some other legitimate reasonable for it, after which time we will get rid of it.

Subject to the extent permitted by law, we may retain information:

  • If there is an unresolved issue relating to your account, such as an outstanding invoice on your account.
  • If necessary for the protection of our legitimate interests, such as fraud prevention.
  • If we are required to by applicable law.

If your business is not or stops being an active customer or supplier, and/or you requested information from us, we will retain your information for a minimum of three (3) years unless you ask us to delete it and we have no other lawful basis to retain it.
