Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
Introduction
01EX is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all areas of our business. We are dedicated to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and throughout our supply chains. As a responsible design and build company operating from the heart of the UK, we recognise our duty to uphold human rights and promote fair, safe, and respectful working conditions.
Our Business
Established in 2001, 01EX delivers bespoke exhibition stands, commercial interiors, retail environments, and office fit-outs. With a team of over 25 skilled professionals, we work with partners and suppliers across the UK and internationally. We take pride in our reputation for quality and professionalism and extend these values to our wider supply chain.
Our Commitment
We are fully committed to compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and oppose all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking. We expect the same high standards from all those we work with, including suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
Supply Chains
We recognise that some parts of our supply chain may pose a higher risk, especially where there are extended or international links. To mitigate these risks, we maintain a robust approach to supplier selection and engage only with those who share our commitment to ethical practices. We reserve the right to terminate relationships with suppliers who fail to meet these standards.
Due Diligence
01EX is continuously improving its processes to assess, monitor, and reduce the risk of modern slavery in our operations and supply chains. Our due diligence includes:
Vetting new suppliers through ethical checks where applicable
Requiring confirmation of compliance with the Modern Slavery Act from high-risk suppliers
Maintaining open communication with contractors and sub-contractors to ensure fair labour practices
Training and Awareness
While our business operates in a sector considered low risk, we recognise the importance of awareness. We ensure that our management team understands the indicators of modern slavery and their responsibility in upholding this policy. Where necessary, further training and guidance will be provided.
Reporting Concerns
We encourage all employees and suppliers to report any concerns related to suspected modern slavery or unethical behaviour. Reports can be made confidentially to senior management, and we are committed to investigating all concerns thoroughly and sensitively.
Continuous Improvement
As part of our commitment to ethical business practices, we review this policy annually and make improvements where needed. We remain vigilant, proactive, and committed to working only with those who respect and uphold the rights and welfare of individuals.
Approval
This policy has been approved by the Directors of 01EX and is reviewed regularly to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.
